Over a funeral wake.
Not the best of places for an introduction.
She is...a close friend, of two of my close friends...
Her dad passed on due to some unfortunate accident.
It was not a car accident, it was one of those days when you wake up, get out and live your life, and someone just decides to take it away from you.

I showed up because...
I wanted to let her know, people still care.
I wanted to be human, stop mugging and care.
I am human.
I care.

I hope my action made her smile.
I want to know I spent one night making someone's life brighter.
To give her one more reason to smile.
